Blockheads ~ Block 35

I'm awake.  Really.  It's November, right?

The blue prints are from Lizzie's Legacy by Betsy Chutchian and the background is still from Snowberry by 3 Sisters.

With last week being Fall Quilt Market, I didn't get my Figgy block finished.  I'll be caught up by next week.  But to try to make it up to you, I've got pictures of the other Blockheads!  Sort of...

Lisa Bongean.  There will be more tomorrow and Friday showing her Homespun Gatherings collection - woven plaids, stripes and textures in rich colors, brushed on one side to make them super-soft.  They're yummy.  As as Lisa's quilts.

Jo MortonNew Hope.  I'm in love with that little flying geese quilt behind Jo... it's probably not a surprise that she's between me and the quilt.

Jan Patek and Lilac Ridge.  Jan is wearing her Girl Gang jacket - everyone at Market wanted one just like it, maybe even Jan's.  Partly because the appliqué back is wonderful, and partly because it was unusually cold in the convention center.

Betsy Chutchian.  If Betsy has ever taken a bad picture, I won't believe it.  I'll need photographic evidence.  The fabric is Evelyn's Homestead - more on that tomorrow or Friday.  Black, Blue, Pink, Green, Purple and Cream... the collection is beautiful.

Lynne Hagmeier of Kansas Troubles and her new collection, Fresh Cut Flowers.

Lynne ducked right as I took the picture... she's hiding behind that table.  Really.  She is... okay, she's not.  Every Market, I miss getting a picture of at least one designer.  This year, it was Lynne.

The collection is Fresh Cut Flowers and it's beautiful.  Like Lynne.  I did see her and really, she looks great.

How perfect is that Fresh Cut Flowers sign?  Lynne saw that a few weeks ago - it was meant-to-be!  More about Fresh Cut Flowers the collection coming.

Question of the Week ~ Do you make quilts to give as gifts for Christmas?  Have you started them yet?

I have made quilts as gifts for Christmas, and to give as gifts at other times.  While I am not making any Christmas quilt-gifts this year, I do have two quilts that just need bindings that I will be giving as a Christmas gift this year.  Does that make sense?  It's supposed to mean that I made these quilts a few years ago, finally got them quilted, misplaced the binding in my move to Texas, finally found the binding fabrics and I'll get these finished so I can give them to my brother at Christmas.  Whew.

Just in case you missed it - CLICK HERE for the link to Lisa’s blog and link to Block 35 – Northridge.

Don't forget that there is a Blockheads Archive with links to all of the published blocks and blog posts.

That's it for today, November 1.  Be sure to visit Jo, Lynne, Betsy, and Jan to see their blocks and what other good things they might have made:

Don’t miss the blocks being posted to #modablockheads on Instagram and Facebook.

If you're not already a member, you can still join the Moda Blockheads Facebook group.  It's a busy group with lots of tips, suggestions and support.

Happy Blockhead Wednesday!
